LAHORE: At least five women died in different incidents that oc
curred after parts of Punjab were hit
by rain and strong winds on Tuesday.
Powerful winds collapsed roofs and struck walls of numerous houses meanwhile, signboards were also knocked down acros
s the province.
Parts of Lahore, Bahawalpur, Multan, Gojra, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Jhang, Lodhran, Bhakkar and Vehari were affected
by rain and powerful winds.
Several incidents claimed the lives of four women and reportedly left many injured.
The Met office has s
aid that the pre-monsoon rain will last for a few mo
re days in the region.
